Resumen
Desde diversas perspectivas --en ocasiones doctrinalmente discrepantes-- este volumen constituye un alegato filosófico-jurídico a favor de la libre inmigración y del valor de la movilidad humana así como de la fusión de poblaciones que trae consigo. Examínanse los problemas de la inmigración desde la filosofía moral, el derecho público internacional, el derecho penal, la historia del derecho y la filosofía jurídica. Concluye el libro con un ensayo en el cual se defiende, no sólo el derecho de libre inmigración, sino también el de radicación en el territorio de llegada y el de su incorporación plena a la población local (derecho de naturalización, o sea de equiparación con los habitantes naturales del país).
Summary
From several and partly conflicting outlooks, this book puts forward a legal and philosophical plea for free immigration and the value of human mobility as well as the merging of populations it brings about. Immigration issues are gone into from the view-point of moral philosophy, International public law, criminal law, the history of law and the philosophy of law. The book ends with an essay wherein, over and above the mere right to immigrate, a full right to settle in the chosen land is whole-heartedly embraced, which entails the right to join the local population and to naturalize therein, i.e. to be equated in rights with the natural inhabitants of the country.
